Hi, I’m Karyn
I’m a Black queer therapist based in Minneapolis providing therapy for adults, teens, and kids across Minnesota. I work with people who often appear to have things together on the outside but feel stuck, exhausted, or disconnected on the inside. I also support kids and teens who need a steady, calm space to work through big feelings or tough transitions.
If you’re navigating complicated relationships, worn down by work stress, or feeling stuck in perfectionism, you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with spend a lot of energy holding things together for everyone else while quietly feeling overwhelmed themselves. They may be constantly overthinking, wondering why life still feels heavy even when things look “fine,” or wanting to feel more grounded in their relationships and daily life.
Many of my clients are also navigating the emotional weight of moving through the world with marginalized identities. I especially enjoy working with Black clients, people of color, and LGBTQ+ folks, while welcoming clients of all backgrounds.
Therapy with me is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. Together we slow things down enough to notice patterns, understand what’s underneath the stress or perfectionism, and experiment with new ways of responding. My goal isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to help you feel more connected to yourself, clearer about what matters, and more able to move through life with intention rather than constant pressure.
